CFD in Buildings: Connecting the Dots between Architects and Engineers
IBPSA-India co-hosted a webinar on “CFD in Buildings: Connecting the Dots between Architects and Engineers” with ASHRAE Chandigarh and Pune chapter on May 9, 2020. The webinar was conducted by Mr. Vaibhav Rai Khare, founder member of the IBPSA-India chapter. The motive of the webinar to encourage more architects and non-CFD experts to embrace simulation in their design process.
The presenter discussed how Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) can be used as a design assistance tool and identify where it is actively bridging the gap between architects and engineers. He also explained the different applications of CFD in the built environment with the help of various case studies, which includes the early-stage design, urban planning, and the airflow pattern.
